INTALES GmbH receives a further engineering order from EADS Military Air Systems, Ottobrunn, Germany

Innsbruck/Austria December 2006

INTALES GmbH has been awarded a contract for the design modifications and accompanying strength analysis within a cost saving programme for the Flap Tracks of the Airbus A330/ A340 aircraft. The contract from EADS Military Air Systems comprises design studies, detailed design of the modified parts, structure analysis, certification documentation and an update of the manufacturing drawing set.

The Flap Tracks hold the landing flaps to the wing and guide them when being deployed during take off and landing. Each flap track is attached to the wing at 2 points.

The project is executed in cooperation with ESCAD Engineering GmbH, responsible for the design works.
